Staff Backend Engineer
About the Role
You will own and scale low-latency, high-throughput trading systems that sit in the execution path. You will design and build backend systems for order routing, execution, pricing, and reconciliation. You will optimize services for latency, throughput, and fault tolerance, make architectural decisions with direct production impact, and operate production systems handling real money and real volume.
Requirements
- Experience building trading exchange or financial infrastructure
- Strong systems and performance intuition
- Ability to take high ownership and work long hours on hard problems
- Based in Asia or Europe
- Node.js

Responsibilities
- Work directly with the CEO, COO, and founding engineers
- Design and build backend systems for order routing, execution, pricing, and reconciliation
- Optimize services for latency, throughput, and fault tolerance
