Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineering

About the Role

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles
• Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM
• Strong proficiency with Kubernetes and production cluster management
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or AWS CDK
• Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python, Bash, or Go
• Working knowledge of managed database services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, or PostgreSQL
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate resilient, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Lead the evolution of Kubernetes and platform services for secure, automated, multi-region operations
• Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, AWS CDK, and Crossplane
• Drive automation across provisioning, configuration, and monitoring pipelines
• Establish and champion reliability, observability, and performance standards and SLOs
• Partner with product engineering to improve CI/CD velocity and service resilience
• Lead incident reviews, perform root-cause analyses, and embed learnings into runbooks and design
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and fault tolerance
• Mentor and upskill engineers and influence architectural direction
