Staff Smart Contract Engineer
About the Role
You will lead the design, implementation, and deployment of production smart contracts on HyperEVM. You will architect end-to-end DeFi primitives such as staking, liquidity mechanisms, vaults, and risk controls with strict gas and latency budgets. You will implement safe upgradeability patterns, write storage-layout tests, and own migrations and staged rollouts. You will harden security by modeling MEV and price manipulation threats, writing invariants and fuzz tests, integrating static analysis, and driving audit responses and post-mortems. You will define on-chain SLOs, emit analytics-ready events, build monitors and alerts, and own incident response including rollback and patch runbooks.
Requirements
- 5+ years shipping production Solidity
- 8+ years overall engineering experience
- Deep EVM expertise
- Experience with upgradeability patterns (UUPS transparent beacon) proxies Create2 and minimal clones
- Hands-on DeFi experience across AMM staking locking stablecoin mechanics liquidations and fee accounting
- Proficiency with Foundry (forge anvil cast) Tenderly Slither and Echidna and fuzzing
- Comfort with gas profiling and storage-layout diffs
- Experience with viem and TypeScript for deployments and indexers
- Experience designing or integrating oracles and signature standards (EIP-712 Permit2 ERC-2612)
- Familiarity with account abstraction (ERC-4337) and bridging cross-chain messaging
- Proven track record of stable mainnet upgrades migration scripts and staged rollouts
