Staff Software Engineer, Blockchain
About the Role
You will define and implement technical strategy for stablecoin and blockchain infrastructure, architect core reusable services and APIs, and lead cross-team projects to improve performance, observability, security, and developer experience. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and security through solid design, testing, and deployment practices, optimize existing infrastructure to reduce latency and improve efficiency, participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and mentor engineers at all levels while providing technical guidance and driving technical decisions. You will stay current with emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and related technologies and apply that knowledge to improve systems and processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years building and scaling distributed systems
- Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives from conception to delivery
- Deep expertise designing and implementing large scale high performance systems
- Strong experience with microservices architecture and cloud native technologies
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence technical decisions
- Track record building automation systems and improving operational efficiency
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategy for stablecoin infrastructure spanning transfers issuance rewards and blockchain integrations
- Architect core reusable services and APIs for reliable compliant asset movement across chains and external providers
- Lead cross-team projects to improve performance observability security and developer experience
- Collaborate with engineering leads product and operations partners to drive organizational and technical change
- Mentor engineers at all levels and provide technical guidance to elevate system health and engineering best practices
- Ensure reliability security and scalability of blockchain services through design testing and deployment best practices
- Optimize existing blockchain infrastructure to enhance performance reduce latency and improve operational efficiency
- Participate in code reviews architectural discussions and technical decision making
- Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain distributed systems and financial technology and apply them to drive innovation
