Systems Engineer
About the Role
You will design, build, and maintain low-level systems that power a high-throughput blockchain. You will operate and monitor a large production node network, respond to off-hour emergencies, and optimize performance to meet extreme throughput targets. You will prototype, debug, and profile systems-level code, collaborate asynchronously with engineers, and drive reliability improvements in production.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science with specialization in kernel data structures or compilers
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience including at least 1 year of startup experience
- Willingness to work onsite full-time five days per week in Palo Alto California
- Ability to respond to off-hour emergencies
- Exceptional communication and people skills
Responsibilities
- Develop blockchain components with high security scalability and decentralization
- Operate and maintain a production network of 1000 nodes
- Manage and safeguard high-value on-chain assets
- Optimize system performance to support extremely high request throughput
- Provide off-hour emergency on-call support
- Prototype and debug systems-level code and perform profiling
