Tax Manager
About the Role
You will support go-to-market efforts for new products by providing practical global tax guidance on novel or complex tax matters. You will own U.S. international tax calculations and filings, prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions, and monitor tax law changes. You will conduct tax research, develop and document tax positions for reviews and audits, and support global transfer pricing and intercompany documentation. You will collaborate with finance, accounting, treasury, legal, GTM, engineering, product, and operations to optimize tax outcomes, lead tax planning and modeling, manage external advisors and budgets, and continuously improve tax processes.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of U.S. international tax and global advisory or compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and related reporting requirements
- Experience with GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, BEAT, FBAR and Forms 8865, 5471, 8858, 1118
- Strong analytical and tax research skills with ability to form and document positions
- Proven ability to operate independently and take ownership of complex workstreams
- Exceptional communication skills to simplify tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders
- Experience coordinating external tax advisors and overseeing deliverables and budgets
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA preferred)
- Experience in blockchain or crypto industry (preferred)
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments and managing multi-jurisdictional compliance (preferred)
- Prior tax audit or controversy experience (preferred)

- Manage external tax advisors, monitor deliverables, and oversee budgets
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in tax processes
