Technical Artist Lead
About the Role
You will lead and mentor technical artists to deliver high-quality, high-performance art assets. You will design and build tools and scripts to streamline artist workflows and support multi-platform asset creation. You will develop shaders and visual effects, optimize textures, geometry, and memory usage, and troubleshoot integration issues with engineers. You will prototype visual features, research and adopt new technologies, and document tools and processes so artists and engineers can work efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Artist with at least 3+ years in a lead or senior role
- Proficiency in 3D art tools such as Maya Blender and 3ds Max
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong knowledge of shader development and rendering pipelines
- Experience with performance optimization for multiple platforms
- Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python MEL and C#
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Leadership experience mentoring and guiding technical artists
