Technical Operations Engineer, Web3 Core Platforms
About the Role
You will run Kubernetes at scale, ship repeatable infrastructure as code, lead incident response, and build tooling to keep production reliable. You will operate and tune blockchain RPC and validator nodes, implement observability and SLOs, automate deployments, and occasionally patch client bugs and upstream fixes.
Requirements
- Linux experience debugging production networking, storage, rollouts, and performance
- Kubernetes operations at scale
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Helm, and Ansible
- Programming and scripting in Go or Python and Bash
- Blockchain operations including JSON-RPC internals and running/tuning RPC and validator nodes
- Observability experience with SLOs, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS, load balancers, and anycast/BGP reasoning
- Production ownership with incident leadership and rollback planning
- Experience with one or more protocols: EVM (Geth/Erigon/Nethermind/Besu), Cosmos SDK/CometBFT, Solana, or Substrate
- Multi-cloud experience plus capacity and cost modeling
Responsibilities
- Launch and upgrade chains including standups, hard forks, snapshots, pruning, and clean rollbacks
- Automate infrastructure and deployments using modules, golden images, CI/CD, and zero-touch deploys across regions
- Run Kubernetes at scale with safe rollouts, autoscaling, ingress tuning, and capacity planning
- Own incidents by leading SEV0–2 responses, publishing RCAs, and delivering preventive changes
- Implement observability and SLOs with useful dashboards and alerts that surface real user impact
- Develop and extend tooling for snapshots, replay/load, and state sync checks; patch client bugs and upstream fixes when necessary
