Technical Product Lead, Governance
About the Role
You will own the technical governance roadmap, translate governance vision into actionable priorities, and drive projects from design through delivery. You will work directly with developers, security teams, delegates, and community members to define product requirements, coordinate grants and RFPs, and manage deployments, upgrades, and security for governance contracts.
Requirements
- Proven track record shipping cross-functional projects to production
- Experience building crypto applications
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DAO mechanics
- Familiarity with governance systems such as OpenZeppelin and Compound
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bias toward action and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done
- Ability to work synchronously in most North American waking hours
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for the technical governance system
- Own governance contracts and coordinate RFPs or grants to develop them further
- Execute governance projects from design to delivery including security council and sequencer selection
- Design and coordinate cross-chain voting and other novel governance mechanisms
- Collaborate with engineering, security, legal, delegates, and community to define product requirements
- Document technical details and create product marketing materials for governance features
- Identify and prioritize solutions to issues, risks, and pain points in voting and delegation
- Coordinate deployments, upgrades, and security best practices for governance contracts
- Ensure governance mechanisms adhere to security best practices and regulatory considerations
