Technical Program Manager, Hardware
About the Role
You will own and drive complex hardware programs from concept through production. You will mitigate program risks, develop and execute manufacturing strategies, and coordinate build planning, materials planning, and forecasting. You will align engineering, design, finance, legal, and external suppliers to deliver EVT, DVT, PVT and mass production milestones on time and to spec. You will resolve engineering issues hands-on, manage supplier relationships, and continuously refine production processes to meet future needs. You will prepare roadmaps, release plans and data-backed options for stakeholders and present progress and risks to technical teams and executives.
Requirements
- 8+ years experience managing complex cross-functional projects in dynamic agile environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science Business Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Proven ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams with high-level direction
- Experience building roadmaps release plans project plans and managing dependencies using frameworks such as Gantt charts and requirements traceability matrices
- Effective communication with technical teams and C-level executives
- Experience compiling and presenting business and technology options backed by data and experimentation
- Execution driven with a hands-on mentality
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems
- CAPM or PMP certification is a plus
- Comfort with legal frameworks and contract negotiation is a plus
- Fluency in English; German a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage program logistics from build planning to distribution, including materials requirements and forecasting
- Lead complex hardware projects from conception through production, meeting timelines budget and quality standards
- Ensure timely delivery of EVT DVT PVT and MP stages by coordinating internal and external stakeholders
- Identify project risks in large-scale manufacturing and implement mitigation strategies
- Drive delivery of strategic cross-functional products from concept to shipment
- Resolve engineering challenges hands-on and support ongoing supplier relationships
- Implement and refine production strategies to meet current and future manufacturing needs
