Traveling Operations Technician

About the Role

You will travel to bitcoin mining sites to install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and systems, and you will support repair, refurbishment, testing, calibration, and inventory tasks at the Denver Service Center. You will diagnose faults, replace components, run tests, document work, train local staff, manage tools and parts, follow safety and compliance procedures, and provide occasional after-hours support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in field service, deployment, or technical installation roles
  • Experience with hardware repair, diagnostics, system integration, and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable with frequent domestic travel and working independently
  • Strong problem-solving ability, self-motivation, and adaptability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to fly/travel domestically
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in varying environments
  • Good time management and ability to manage multiple site projects

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and systems
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support, diagnose faults, replace components, run tests, and validate system performance
  • Perform repair, refurbishment, testing, calibration, assembly, and inventory management in the Denver service center
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to plan rollouts and coordinate schedules
  • Document work via service reports, issue tracking, change logs, and client documentation
  • Train clients or local staff on system usage, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Maintain tools, parts, and equipment inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Follow and enforce safety, quality control, compliance, and procedural standards
  • Book travel logistics (flights, lodging, ground transport) within travel policies
