Web3 Business Analyst - Trading
About the Role
You will monitor trading and user behavior in real time, tracking order flow, liquidity depth and spreads, funding and basis, open interest, fees, and slippage. You will build and maintain dashboards and cohort analyses, write concise metric summaries with action recommendations, and design points, rebates, and referral mechanics with anti‑abuse guardrails. You will model ROI of incentive programs, benchmark competitor incentives and listings, define metric trees and instrumentation specs, run A/B tests on campaigns and pricing experiments, and report findings and next steps to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years in business growth or trading analytics (crypto FX equities derivatives or fintech)
- Strong SQL skills
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Spreadsheet fluency
- Dashboarding experience (Metabase Looker Data Studio)
- Product analytics and experimentation experience (Mixpanel Amplitude A/B testing cohort analysis funnel math)
- Familiarity with on‑chain and market data tools (Dune Flipside Nansen) and basic blockchain data structures
- Experience with points loyalty referrals and fraud vectors is nice to have
- Experience with market making or liquidity programs and risk or compliance exposure for institutional non‑custodial platforms is nice to have
- Markets literacy including order books versus AMMs spreads depth funding fair basis and maker taker dynamics
- Excellent decision‑oriented communication and experience briefing executives
Responsibilities
- Track order flow, liquidity depth, spreads, funding, basis, open interest, fees, and slippage and surface anomalies and opportunities
- Build daily and weekly dashboards on user cohorts, retention, and contribution to volume and fees
- Write concise what why so‑what notes when metrics move and propose actions
- Design and iterate points rebates and referral mechanics with anti‑abuse guardrails
- Model ROI for incentive programs and recommend parameter adjustments regularly
- Benchmark competitor incentives listings and policy changes and deliver GTM notes
- Define metric trees and own instrumentation specifications and dashboards
- Run A/B tests on campaigns landing pages and fee or price experiments and report impact
