Sales Engineer

About the Role

You will join sales calls as the technical expert, scope and design implementations for enterprise clients, manage the momentum of complex sales cycles, create and complete RFPs/RFI responses and technical proposals, debug integrations with developer teams, and package technical context for smooth post-sales handoffs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Sales Engineering experience within Enterprise SaaS, Payments, or Fintech
  • Experience closing complex, high-value deals
  • Expert-level technical fluency with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architectures
  • Ability to debug live with developer teams
  • Strong communication skills across technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Rigorous project management approach to sales cycles
  • Ability to manage high-volume pipelines while delivering consultative service
  • Customer-centric solution architecture skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for Rain product lines
  • Join sales calls to answer technical inquiries
  • Drive pre-sales implementation and scope integrations
  • Project manage complex enterprise deals and timelines
  • Design solutions and define necessary integrations
  • Create and complete RFPs, RFI responses, and technical proposals
  • Package technical context for post-sales handoff to account managers
